The first time we meet, We'll discuss your goals and assess your current skills as a musician. You'll be required to bring a piece that you feel displays your abilities the best and fits the genre/style you want to pursue. We'll do basic exercises and vocalizations that will help us to get to know your voice and current skill levels, but mostly a lot of talking.
This will be more than a routine regular voice lesson. The more I learn your voice and how your musical mind operates, I'll be teaching and introducing new concepts and training your ear to hear a world unheard by most people. You might even learn a pitch or two by memory. I'll integrate healthy voice technique with overall musical wisdom and theory to better your senses and broaden your mind.
I am a self-taught pianist. I mostly play by ear, but can read sheet music on an intermediate level. I am quite capable of teaching traditional beginners piano, but I prefer to teach on a more opaque plane of improvisational piano - the kind one would normally see in a contemporary church setting.
We've pulled guitarists from very successful local bands to be our instructors, specializing in the Metal genres and sub-genres. Each have an intense passion for music theory and the complexity of sound.
Personalized and driven instructors teaching from beginner to advanced drumming technique and rhythmic theory.
